WHY DID YOU WANT TO DO A BOUDOIR SHOOT?
I knew a boudoir shoot would capture vulnerable angles I would not have thought would be engaging to myself or others. I wanted empowerment to heal my doubts about my body expressions, and most importantly feel comfortable doing that with a photographer who is down-to-earth, and passionately talented with her work.
WHAT WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE LIKE DURING YOUR SHOOT?
My experience turned out to be more fun and congenial than I imagined. I could not have been happier with the decision I made.
From the booking process to lingerie shopping with friends, Sam encouraged a stress-free and helpful process to getting you prepared for your shoot. I was so excited, although not sure what to expect but when I arrived at the studio, every shaking nerve was immediately forgotten. I felt like being myself under no intimidation.
The make-up artist was super friendly and did an amazing job with a natural but striking look (and I usually hate when people do my make-up, I do not wear much of it), I was thrilled.
After that, Sam took the reign from there and it was an uplifting, and crazy special feeling to be the focal point in a moment of your life when most of the time we are compared and involuntarily self-doubting ourselves.
The service I received made my experience worth sharing and I will most definitely consider booking another appointment with Sam in the future.
HOW DID YOU FEEL WHEN YOU SAW YOUR IMAGES FOR THE FIRST TIME?
When I saw my images for the first time, I HONESTLY became hesitant. I know my vision is not the best but, I genuinely thought she had opened the wrong file or something because the women that was on the screen was way too sexy to be me, and the second I saw the familiar features, I could not get the smile off my face.
I am so grateful for the time Sam spent with me, guiding me through vulnerable positions and expressions, I learned a lot being there, and most importantly re-collected with myself on a healthy level, mentally.
WOULD YOU RECOMMEND THE EXPERIENCE TO OTHER WOMEN?
Without a doubt in my mind. I cannot think of any reason why any women would not be suitable to experience what I did, aside from religious beliefs. I believe every woman should know that they are worthy of empowering themselves however they choose and rock what makes them different to others.
Being a free-spirited individual, I do not over-analyze my life choices if they are merely based on my core values and beliefs. Our actions are a result of our thoughts and when we rock and love what is different about ourselves, we can accomplish anything we put our mind to.
